DILTON Marsh Local History Society are set to hear a new talk about the history of the local area, entitled ‘Glimpses from the past: Westbury People and Places along with Turnpike Roads 18C and 19C’.
The group say, “Our next talk is by Steve Hobbs, the former county archivist at Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham; He is well known to many Dilton Marsh and Westbury folk. The subject of discussion will be: Glimpses from the past. Westbury People and Places. Questions on the history of Westbury, Dilton Marsh and surrounding areas will be appreciated.”
The presentation will take place on Friday 22nd July 7.30pm at Dilton Marsh Memorial Hall and it will be followed by tea/coffee and biscuits. All are welcome, entrance fee is £4 for non-members £2 for members. Annual membership fee is £7.
