WESTBURY Lions has hosted the first of its monthly fundraising car boot sale.
The sale was held at The White Horse Country Park on Saturday 3rd July, with money raised going to support the Lions’ work in the local community. “We held our nerve with the weather and it ended up being a really good morning for our first car boot,” said Westbury Lions’ president, Tracy Sheppard.
“I think it will just get bigger now by word of mouth. Fingers crossed we just get bigger and better!
“If you need to clear your lofts, garages, cupboards, you know where to come!”
The Lions’ car boot sale will be held on the first Saturday of each month until October. Sellers will be allowed on the site from 6am and the public can enter at 7am. Stall holders have free entry and the public will be charged £1 entrance. There will be a food van serving tea, coffee, and breakfasts.
