A VANDAL has smashed three panes of glass of a listed red telephone box in the Market Place.
Police report that between Friday 23rd and Monday 26th November someone smashed three panes of glass, just above waist height, in a listed red telephone box.
Deborah Urch, town clerk said, “We were very disappointed to see that the listed telephone box in the Market Place had been vandalised. This is the second time glass has been broken since the town council took ownership of the telephone box. We will be fixing the telephone box and have already procured new glass and fixings.”
