A group of Westbury Rotarians carried out a litter pick in the car park area above the Westbury White Horse on Saturday 23rd March, in support of the GBSpring Clean Campaign.
Twelve bags of litter were collected, including a considerable number of empty bottles, some of which were broken.
Rotary Club president, Mervyn Harris said, “I would like to thank Westbury Town Council for their encouragement and support, and for loaning the necessary equipment. It would be great if other groups or individuals in Westbury can arrange litter picking in areas of their own choice. Keeping our environment clean is a difficult, but vital, task these days, and supporting the national Spring Clean campaign is a brilliant way of achieving tangible results”.
