WESTBURY Conservative Club has lots in store over the coming months with free live music and a variety of seasonal events.
Organisers say, “On Saturday 13th October join Wiltshire-based band, P.L.US (People Like US) as they bring you an entertaining evening of live music to cater for most music tastes! An exciting semi-acoustic three, sometimes four-piece taking on the greats such as Oasis, Adele, Metallica, Queen and many more.
“On Saturday 27th October fish out your halloween costumes and zombie-walk on down to the Conservative Club for a children’s Halloween party from 4pm-6pm.
“There will be a prize for the best dressed under 5 year old and over 6 year old, so get imaginative! There will also be pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, colouring competition with prizes and a disco.
“Adults feeling left out? Drop the children at home and head on back for the Adults’ Halloween Party from 8pm-late. Prizes for the best adult fancy dress.
“On Friday 9th November, the club hosts the Ray Jones Band. They are a three-piece rock band from Wiltshire. Their debut album “The Right Way” has been well received at both live shows and digitally across the internet. The album has short punchy rock songs, longer progressive numbers and a couple of strong ballads. There are even a couple of bonus punk tracks for fun. Doors are open all afternoon, with music starting approx 9pm.
“Feeling festive? Join in with the club’s Christmas Carol Concert with Corsham Band on Saturday 22nd December from 5pm-7pm followed by the club’s Christmas draw.
“Do you have children who are excited for Santa’s arrival? Let them burn off some steam at the Kids Christmas Party on Sunday 23rd December where the man himself may make an appearance, depending on his workload!
“Then when the big day is over, join in with the annual Boxing Day Horse Racing with the Gold Cup Grand National Festival. First race is at 1.30pm. “
