A GROUP of colleagues from Gooding Accounts are warming up to take part in a 13-mile walk next week to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The fundraiser is one of many events the accountancy firm has organised as part of their mission to raise £10,000 for the local charity, in memory of Lucy Beer, the daughter of employee Angela Beer, who died in January this year. So far, the team has raised £4,442.
The group of 10, including Angela and her husband Clive, will take part in the walk on Saturday 21st September, walking through the Wiltshire countryside encompassing both the Cherhill and Devizes White Horses.
The group says, “Wiltshire Air Ambulance provides vital support to the people of Wiltshire and can save lives, it is such an important part of our local emergency services and thus why the team work hard to raise money via various events and challenges.
“Donations for any of the team members taking part are most appreciated and fingers crossed that we are blessed with good weather on the hills for the 21st September!”
The White Horse Walk is one of many fundraisers that the Gooding Accounts team have taken part in – director Sam Gooding took part in an ultra-marathon other employees have jumped out of planes, taken part in marathon walks, and the team has also organised quiz nights.
They will also be hosting a charity race night on Saturday 19th October at the White Horse Country Park and a quiz night on Friday 22nd November at The Farmhouse, Southwick.
