SINCE their opening in 2003, Davies & Davies in Westbury still continues to thrive as one of the largest and longest established, award-winning independent estate agents in the area, captained by a highly experienced team.

“Across West Wiltshire, Davies & Davies is a market leader for the sale and valuation of residential property in the area and strive on an enviable reputation of integrity and professionalism,” said senior partner Justin Davies.

“Westbury is a busy, expanding town and features a diverse range of properties. The in-branch team will lend expert, professional advice to those looking to sell their home or to buy a new property, dedicated to get you the best possible price in the shortest possible time.”

The branch in Westbury is part of a larger Davies & Davies group that was first brought to Trowbridge in 1990, by Justin and Michele Davies, with the intent on providing a top quality personal service. It now has two branches in Trowbridge, one in Westbury and another in Bradford on Avon and Justin himself has remained closely involved in the Westbury office since its opening.

“We are passionate about being a traditional high street estate agent that remains relevant during the changing times in the industry,” he added. “The world couldn’t be any more different from when we were first established, but we continue to play an important role, providing quality independent, top service to our clients.”

When Justin is away from the office his other passions include rugby, supporting Bath Rugby, cricket and fine wine – sometimes even all in the same day! He is also a hobby farmer, looking after his ruby red Devonshire cows.

Merita Jackman, branch manager, has been working for Davies & Davies for over 15 years. She is dedicated to working with clients, providing them with advice before and whilst preparing their property for sale, as well as ensuring clients have the best marketing and guidance. and treat them as part of our family.

She said, “What I love most about my role is the ability to take the stress out of the moving process. We actually care about our clients and treat them as part of our family.” When Merita isn’t managing the office, she can be found out and about enjoying the local area with her three dogs, Woody, Rufus and Murphy. If you see her with four dogs then she is fostering for the Doodletrust, and other dog charities close to her heart. Four legged friends are always warmly welcome to be greeted in the office subject to clean paws!

Paul Weeks is Westbury’s negotiator. He has over 30 years’ experience within the estate agency  business and also with new homes. He is keen to share his knowledge, as well as supporting your needs through the whole sales process. He generates interest around your property, conducts viewings on your behalf and hopes to see your sale through swiftly and smoothly.

He said, “Davies & Davies is a lovely family-run company. I love helping and meeting new people during what can be a stressful journey.”

Paul has lived locally for over 50 years, bringing in-depth knowledge of the area. On the weekends you will find him shouting at The Rec supporting his team, Bath Rugby.

Oliver Tozer is an experienced estate agent, who has worked in all three offices of Davies & Davies; Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge and Westbury. He has now qualified as a mortgage broker, so is ideally placed to find you the ideal mortgage to help you move home.

He said, “What I love most about my job is the variation. During one day I could be helping a first time buyer secure their foot on the property ladder, the next I could be speaking to an experienced property owner. Every day is different.

“As a small business Davies & Davies really give time to get to know their clients in order to give a completely personal service.”

Outside of work, Oliver spends the majority of his time with his partner and two year old daughter. When given the spare time, he also plays squash and golf.

Carole Hector is the lettings manager. Carole has worked for Davies & Davies since February 1995 and has dealt with new homes, sales and lettings. Carole manages the lettings department and covers the West Wiltshire/ BANES area.

She said, “I thoroughly enjoy matching a tenant to a landlord to ensure they are suited properly. We are a dedicated team that offer the whole package; marketing, maintenance etc all under one roof.”

“The successful formula of an experienced team with quality personal service and a highly active selling approach has led to the expansion of the company, making Davies & Davies one of the largest independent estate agency in West Wiltshire,” continued Justin.

“Davies & Davies Westbury Office has also been recently rated as ‘Exceptional’ in the Best Estate Agent Guide 2018, putting them in the top 5% of estate agents in the country.”
