FROM help with technology to an afternoon of tea and conversation there are plenty of helpful sessions and groups running from the Westbury Library.
Organisers say, “At Westbury Library we love books but your library is about more than just books. We also have lots of groups running every week.
“If you’re feeling confused with technology, want some support to know how to use your phone better, or how to search the internet, why not drop in to a Tech Made Simple session. Our friendly volunteer, Jon Street, is available every Tuesday from 2.30pm to offer digital support.
“Our popular Knit and Natter group runs every fortnight on Mondays at 2.30pm. If you like to craft and would enjoy some friendly conversation and a cup of tea, come and join Emma and the rest of the group.
“Or perhaps reading aloud is more your thing? Every other week Alison is hosting a shared reading aloud group, The Enchanted Hour – a safe and calm space for anyone and everyone to enjoy the pleasure of listening and reading aloud. You can sit, listen, and relax or choose to bring along a favourite poem or short passage to share. The group runs fortnightly on Thursdays at 2pm.
“Once a month we hold a lovely afternoon of tea and chat, with homemade cake too. If you’d like to meet new people in the community, in a warm and safe place come and join us on Friday 10th March, 2.30pm.”
