THE TEAM at Westbury Library has been busy creating a love-filled library display for the Valentines month.
The Community Library Manager of Westbury Library, Basil Nankivell said, “Not only have we created special displays celebrating romantic stories but we’re also encouraging our visitors to try something that they may love. Come along and say hello and why not pick up a book at the same time?
“The theme of love got us thinking about how much we love our library in Westbury. After being closed in the first lockdowns in 2020, we are now open nearly with our full hours and love seeing our visitors. Although we are not able to run our ever-popular rhymetimes at the moment due to the infection risk, we are still open and welcome everyone into our space.
“As staff here, we love our library and not just because we love books! We also love helping the people in our community, whether young or old, and there is always a friendly face. Whether it’s a need for a computer, advice on what to read or simply some company, you will be met with a warm welcome.”
Some library visitors have even written comments that reflect this love:
“I would like to tell you again of the help and kindness of the staff at Westbury Library.”
“I was so impressed not only by the help offered to me, but crucially for me, in the polite, supportive and professional manner, it was offered too”.
