Students at Matravers School have marked their respect of Remembrance Day through undertaking a ‘Wear Your Uniform to School’ Day.
Students wore their uniforms from a range of different services, including Air Cadets, Army Cadets, St John’s Ambulance and Guides.
Throughout the week leading to Remembrance Sunday, assemblies have been held to commemorate the event and also a two minute silence was observed on Monday 11th November as a mark of respect.
Headteacher Dr Simon Riding said, “I have been very proud of the way that Matravers students have responded to this significant event. Many poppies have been bought and worn as a real sign of understanding and respect. The pride shown by students wearing their Services Uniforms throughout the day was very impressive.”
