THE ever-popular Westbury Lions 10k run saw over 100 runners competing in a race at the White Horse Country Park on Sunday 9th October to raise funds for the local community.
Brendan Deveney was the fasted male with a time of 39:12; the fastest female was Justina Burles in 43:46; the fastest male vet was Simon Phillips in 41:07; and the fastest female vet was Amanda Garton in 49:56.
The organisers say, “Our 10k run was once again a fabulous success for the community and everyone enjoyed what seemed like perfect conditions too!
“Thank you to everyone who took part and supported us, and also huge thanks to the volunteers who helped us make the day such an enjoyable one. As always, the money we raised will all go back to supporting the community.
“Next year’s event will be booked and dates published soon. Follow our Facebook page for more details as they are made available.”
