Mother Nature ‘cleans up’ Westbury’s ‘old grey mare’

MOTHER Nature waded into the ongoing debate about the current state of Westbury’s iconic White Horse – which has recently been labelled an ‘old grey mare’ – freshening it up with a layer of snow!

Following the news that the next deep clean for the White Horse is scheduled for 2022 – revealed in White Horse News last month – local residents and businesses have been discussing how and when the landmark should be cleaned up.

But before anyone could take action, Mother Nature stepped in with a solution of her own.

Local resident Nick Bradshaw, who took the photograph of the snow-covered  White Horse said, “With all the comments about the state of the horse, nature reminds us of its beauty! How lucky we are.”
