WESTBURY MP, Andrew Murrison, recently signed an official agreement for the UK and United States governments to work together to mark 100 years since the First World War.
Dr Murrison is the Prime Minister’s special representative for the commemoration of WWI, and recently met with Mark Fountain of the US Centennial Commission to sign an agreement between the two countries.
The men met last Thursday in the foreign office to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Andrew Murrison MP said, “The US will be a major player in the centenary commemoration of the Great War from now until the anniversary of the Armistice in November 2018. The MOU sets out how the two governments will work together.”
