KEEN local gardener, Andy Cameron, is inviting the community to visit his garden this weekend.
“Come and see what you can do with a small garden,” said Andy. “Come and get inspiration and ideas for what you can do yourself.”
Andy and his wife Annie, live above Andrea’s Flowers on Westbury’s High Street – their garden is small and enclosed, which has proved a challenge for Andy, who has enjoyed gardening since 2001.
“It’s been difficult deciding where to put everything. I did have planters out the front of the property, but I’ve had to move them to the back – so I’ve moved plants from planters into containers. But once you’ve decided where to put your plants – you can quickly get on top of things.
“I enjoy every bit of gardening – the smell of the flowers, but especially the view, sitting down and admiring all your hard work, it’s very satisfying.”
At the event there will be packets of seeds, planters and plants for sale. Andy is opening his garden to the public on Saturday 17th August and Sunday 18th August from 10am to 4pm. His address is 106 High Street, Westbury – above Andrea’s Flowers.
