THE Blue Circle Bowls Club, found at the White Horse Country Park, will be opening for the new season on Saturday 16th April, and the club are also hosting a public open day on Saturday 23rd April
Karen Kirby, Secretary for club said, “We are holding a public open day on Saturday 23rd April between 11am and 3pm. Anyone is welcome to come along on the day and have a go. They are designed as taster sessions for people to try out the sport and meet some of the club members, although we will have coaches in attendance. We will provide all equipment that is required. All that we ask is that flat soled shoes or trainers are worn.
“We also have a club night most Fridays from 6pm. We are always looking for new members and are open to all ages, gender and ability. The bowls green is located at the White Horse Country Park, beneath the White Horse.”
The club plays in a number of leagues during the season and in friendly matches with teams from Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. The club also has an annual four-day tour away each year for members to enjoy.
The club has two qualified coaches and coaching can be arranged as required evenings, weekends and some week days by arrangement. If anyone would like more information on Blue Circle Bowls Club they can ring Karen Kirby (club secretary) on 01373 300 843 or email karen.kirby@blue yonder.co.uk
