PUPILS at Bratton Primary School can now benefit from a brand new climbing frame which the school says has already proved popular.
This coincides with some pupils taking part in a training day in Trowbridge designed to encourage more pupils into taking part in sport.
The school says, “Mrs Bowden and some of our lovely children recently took part in a Youth Sport Ambassador training at Trowbridge Civic Centre. The training day contained various sport-related workshops with Bratton students joining up with students from other local primary and secondary schools.
“They also discussed the role of a sports ambassador and how they can increase participation in sport at the school. They have returned to school full of ideas on how to encourage all the students to become more active, and how to raise the positive profile of sport! They were excellent representatives of the school and behaved impeccably!
“This training has also coincided with the school’s new climbing frame equipment being fitted. This wonderful new climbing frame and additional add-ons, cost over £3,000 and will enhance the sporting provision at Bratton Primary School. The new inside climbing equipment was fully road tested by antelope class and it has proven to be really popular with all. Comments from the children included, ‘This is the best thing ever!’ and ‘It’s amazing and I love it!’ so we are really pleased with the outcome!”
