WESTBURY Town Council has approved a budget for six new ‘Welcome to Westbury’ signs for the entrance roads to the town.
With the current signs old and worn, the town council’s highways, planning & development committee approved the cost of £4,700 + VAT for the street scene, town improvement and tourism working group to purchase the new ‘Welcome to Westbury’ signs.
The town council’s working group said, “The ‘Welcome to Westbury’ signs are looking tired and do not match the other map boards or bollards located in the town.
“We are looking at ways to improve the town centre’s appearance and with the main A350 going straight through the town, improve the welcome we offer to daily commuters.”
