WESTBURY Wheelers, the local cycling club, is encouraging you to get back on your bikes this new year.
The club says, “Now we are well and truly into the New Year and everyone has eaten all the leftover turkey/nut loaf, chocolates we need to get back out there!
“If you haven’t been out for ages, no worries, the ‘yellow’ rides offer a slower 20 – 30 miles plus a coffee stop. Please note these rides are aimed at anyone interested in getting back in the saddle and will be at the pace of the slowest rider, with no-one being left behind.
“There are of course our other rides too e.g. ‘green’ – every Saturday at 2pm, also designed for newcomers and those wanting a shorter ride. These are a nice 20 miles, again at the pace of the slowest rider.
All other rides e.g. ‘blue’, ‘purple’ and ‘red’ are open to those who need a bit more of a challenge. Check out the webpage for details of speed, distance etc. All rides are led and planned by our lovely ride leaders who will go out of their way to make everyone welcome.
“Come on – get on your bike!”
