MEMBERS of the Oktoberfest team presented a cheque for £200 to Westbury Youth Club, raised from last year’s celebrations.
Organisers of the autumn event at the Horse & Groom, Terry Stone and Bruce Hewitson, presented the cheque to youth leader Paul Howard for additional funds for the club.
“The youth club has some 80 members and a sizeable waiting list. They provide a valuable service to the youth of Westbury,” explained Bruce.
Oktoberfest raised £800 in total for local charities. Westbury Infant School, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and The West Wiltshire Youth Sailing Club have also benefited from the money.
This year’s Oktoberfest will be on Saturday 6th October at the Horse and Groom.
