This year’s Oktoberfest at the Horse and Groom, held on Saturday 28th September, was heralded a great success by both customers and organisers.
Once again over 200 people attended, what has now become an exciting regular event on the town’s calendar.
Sing-along music was played by ‘Modesty Blaze’ in the evening and Stuart Saye in the afternoon, to add to a great atmosphere in the marquee at the Horse and Groom.
Six great German festival lagers were served, Paulaner being this year’s favourite, along with tasty German-style food.
The draw was eagerly anticipated and won by Christopher Saunders, a well known Westburyite. The prize, kindly donated by Keeva Travel, was a trip to Europe for two people, two nights, complete with air travel.
Landlord Bob Musker said, “This year’s Oktoberfest will go down as the best yet and we now look forward to our fifth Oktoberfest in 2020.”
Organisers would like to thank Rory McManus from Keeva Travel for their continued support of the event, the staff and all those people who came and made it a real success.
