A new dance studio, Just So Dance, was officially opened at Woodland Industrial Estate in Westbury on Saturday 30th December.
Town Crier, John Hadfield, announced the grand opening and the Mayor of Westbury, cllr Gordon King, cut the ribbon, marking a significant triumph for the popular dance school.
The success of the studio, combined with the increasing popularity of dancing, has been a catalyst for school principal Stacey Carter to move the studio to a larger, modern unit in the middle of Westbury.
The new premises offers three large dance studios, a comfortable waiting area and designated changing room for the older students, along with space for relaxing, socialising or catching up on homework in between dance lessons. There is also a fully-stocked uniform shop where clothes and shoes can be tried for size before ordering. Families have an opportunity to purchase dance accessories from the shop too.
Stacey started the dance school in 2007 and now has been joined by two very talented dance teachers, Katie Mence, who has been with Stacey since the start of her journey, and Harriet Long. Maisie Long is also instrumental in supporting teaching at the sessions.
Stacey said, “The team at Just So Dance, have worked hard to inspire the desire to dance in children and adults of all ages. The increased popularity of the dance sessions have meant that larger, more purpose-designed studios, were required.
“This is a huge achievement for everyone involved. Dancers and families attending the open day could not believe how wonderful their new studio was, and pupils were instantly seen twirling and tapping in front of the mirrors and the excitement was evident. A dance display was hosted in the main dance studio for visitors attending the open day.
Just So Dance currently offers classes in modern, musical theatre, tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop and contemporary to over 200 children across the West Wilts Area.
New and exciting classes are being looked at for the New Year. You will be welcomed in reception by Just So Dance’s administrator, Sarah Long, who will be able to answer your questions and queries. For more information visit www.justsodance.com
