The first concert of the 2018 Edington Arts season is on Saturday 14th April, starting at 7.30pm, with the Pusker-Konyicska Duo, two outstandingly talented young Hungarian musicians.
Organisers say, “Julia Pusker (violin) and Renata Konyicska (piano) are graduates of the 2017 International Musicians Seminars at Prussia Cove in Cornwall. These annual one-to-one masterclasses from some of the world’s greatest string and piano players are open only to potentially world class young musicians.
“Having been multiple prize-winners throughout Europe since their teens, the girls have recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and are now continuing to forge very successful international concert careers.
“The duo will perform a programme of solos and sonatas by J.S.Bach, Beethoven and Schubert, including the lovely Beethoven Violin Sonata No 10 in D major. Expect a high degree of technical skill, combined with sensitive and emotionally mature musical interpretation – it will be a wonderful evening’s music to be part of.”
Tickets are £20, £15 and £10, 18 and under free, from sue@edingtnarts.org or by phoning Chrissy on 01380 831256. Full programme information for this concert, and for events later in the year, are at www.edingtonarts.org.
