Wiltshire Police are appealing for information regarding an assault which occurred in Westbury between 5.00-6.00pm on Thursday 11th December.
A van driver had parked up in The Mead, Westbury and was outside of his vehicle when a man approached him and assaulted him.
The victim fell to the ground but fortunately another vehicle pulled in and sounded its horn. The offender then ran to a white Ford Transit van and sped off. The victim, a 38- year-old man from Swindon, was not seriously injured in the incident.
The offender is described as of Asian appearance, aged in his late forties, 6’2 tall and of medium build. He had black curly/messy hair and was wearing a waist length black jacket and dark coloured jeans.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding this incident and in particular, the driver of the van which pulled up whilst the victim was on the ground as this person may have information which could assist the investigation.
