WESTBURY Quilters are hosting a coffee morning on Saturday 7th May to raise money for the local charity, Freewheelers Emergency Volunteer Service Blood Bikes; the organisation that offers a free of charge, out of hours courier service of medical items to the NHS.
The coffee morning will take place from 10am to 12pm at Westbury Methodist Church on Station Road.
Ali Huntley, a spokesperson for Westbury Quilters, said, “The Westbury Quilters choose a charity each year, and when the Freewheelers visited us recently to give a talk about their organisation, we thought this would be a great cause to contribute to.
“Please do come down on the day, have a coffee and help raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
“We should even have a nice, bright and high-vis Blood Bike joining us if we are lucky! So, if kids want to come and have a sit on the bike, they should be more than welcome.”
Westbury Quilters meet on the last Tuesday of every month, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at the Leigh Park Community Centre.
