A Past Governor who retired from the governing body of Westbury Leigh Primary School after 25 years, was honoured at the school’s 10th anniversary celebrations on Friday 13th June.
Ruth Hann was presented with flowers and a book with pictures drawn by all the Westbury Leigh students by James Reed, chair of the governors.
Ruth said, “When I first started as a governor we were at the old school down the road. We grew out of that school but it took 10 years to get this new building which is lovely and modern.
“When we first moved, there were 175 students and now there are 410, which is the most in any primary school in the Westbury area. I can’t believe we have now been in this new building for 10 years.”
