Launched on 1st March, this year’s Pet Portrait Awards are looking to be even bigger and better than previous years with photography studios across the UK and Northern Ireland taking part.
Kelly Vaughan-Watkins of Ideal Images Photography Ltd based in Edington, near Westbury said, “The theme for 2016 is ‘Man’s Best Friend’, so we are looking for entries from everyone who thinks that their pooch is the prettiest or their hound is the most handsome.
“And not only could you win the coveted ‘Pet of the Year’ title, but there are some amazing local and national prizes for the winners. Local judging is being carried out by Professional Photographers over the UK, whilst the National awards will be judged by The Dogs Trust.
“Entry into the Pet Portrait Awards is free but as each studio involved is supporting The Dogs Trust, we are asking for a minimum donation of £10.00 for your first pet and £5 for any subsequent portraits to help them with the vital rehoming charity work that The Trust carries out across the UK.”
