THE spotlight was turned on a range of successful community projects at the area board meeting last week, and applications for local project grants are being welcomed.
The Westbury Area Board met at the Jubilee Hall on Thursday 9th April and heard how funds have helped with a wide range of village projects including Coulston Village Hall refurbishment, improvements at the Bratton village pavilion and even the purchase of an apple juicer.
The board then went on to approve nearly £7,000 worth of extra funds for other projects including for groundskeeping at Bratton Baptist Chapel, display boards for the Great War Commemoration Group, and a play pod for Westbury Leigh Primary School.
Westbury Area Board still has more than £30,000 available to distribute this year. If you think your project or community group might benefit, visit their website at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/area boards and see if you might be eligible.
