A local photographer captured vivid images of the northern lights from a Westbury landmark as the phenomenon was visible across the area.
Dwayne Alexander took the shots between 8.45pm and 9.45pm on Monday 19th January, from the top of the White Horse and the ‘Standing with Giants’ installation near the beacon.
“The northern lights put on a display of green ribbons and red glows, with pillars that changed as the seconds and minutes went by,” said Dwayne.
“The green ribbons often danced above my head from east to west. Down on the northern horizon was a green glow.”
