LOCAL artist, Lesley Longworth, has been in search of creating a local art group in Westbury. After her plea to other local artists, plans are moving forward.
Lesley, who moved to Westbury Leigh in July 2014 from Hertfordshire, was on the look out for a regular artists group, yet found nothing in the area.
However, Lesley is moving forward with her plans to create a local exhibition with various people coming forward to share their interest. She has also been speaking to cllr Ian Cunningham about the possibility of being included in the Westbury Arts Festival next year and continues an onward search for a hall to hold an exhibition.
She is continuing her aim to raise awareness for local artists and is still in the look out for people to join her. There is still hurdles to jump but Lesley is well on her way to announcing the first major exhibition for artists and art lovers in Westbury.
