Children at Westbury Junior School couldn’t wait for their break time and a chance to try out the brand new playground equipment.
Lottie from Year 5 won the competition to be the first child in the school on the apparatus, closely followed by a long line of eager children.
The decision to add to the playground’s ‘adventure trail’ followed a campaign by the school council to improve the site. The whole school voted on their favourite option and the new climbing wall and balancing poles won.
School council lead and Year 4 teacher, Eleanor Marsh said, “We are so pleased with the new additions to our playground, especially as they were voted for by the children themselves.”
