WESTBURY United have released their list of pre-season friendly games as the club gets ready for their toughest challenge yet – the Southern League.
The club has three homes games in pre-season, and they’ve asked for supporters to “load the Lane” and show their support at the home ground, Meadow Lane, Westbury.
Joint manager, Lewis Porter, said “It would be great if we can get as many people down to support the club in our upcoming home friendlies.
“We’ve got a good mix of teams to play so it would be great if people got behind the boys and helped get us off to a good start. Let’s load the Lane!”
Things are heating up at Meadow Lane ahead of Westbury United’s first ever season in the Southern League!
The club say, “There have been changes off the pitch with Greg Coulson stepping down as club chairman and Sam Gooding taking over the role. The club wishes to thank Greg for his superb role in the historic period for Westbury United!
“Pre-season got underway on Saturday 2nd July with a 4-1 victory at Trowbridge Town. Goals were scored by Jack Biddescombe and Ryan Bole with wonder strikes in the 1st half then Sam Jordan and Harvey Flippance in a soaking 2nd half.
