A village primary school is celebrating after receiving a top national award for its commitment to physical activity and competitive sport for the second year running.
Bratton Primary School has earned the Gold School Games Mark, a government-led award facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust.
The mark recognises schools across the country for outstanding dedication to physical activity, competitive fixtures, and community sports participation.
Over the past year, pupils have taken part in a wide variety of sporting initiatives within the school, while representing the village in events across West Wiltshire.
Louise Bunce, Admin Officer for Bratton Primary School, said, “This really shows how far Bratton Primary School has come with physical activity and how it is growing more and more each year, with all children being given opportunities to show their sporting skills and develop their interpersonal skills.”
To mark the achievement, the award was officially unveiled during a special assembly, featuring a presentation by four pupils selected as the school’s new Sports Ambassadors.
