The Railway Inn in Station Road, Westbury, continues to go from strength to strength, providing competitive wedding packages, entertainment throughout the year, a Sunday carvery and special offers on food starting 1st August.
The family-friendly pub and restaurant is run by local couple Paul and Teresa Mead. Teresa said, “The last three years have been very busy turning out new menus and revamping the whole pub and skittle alley/function room/restaurant.
“We have had carefully tailored wedding drapes made for our function room so it now transforms into a indoor marquee, looking absolutely fabulous, as you will see from the pictures. Our prices for wedding packages are very competitive and we work with the happy couple to fit in with their individual needs and budget.
“We can supply the whole package including every detail so they don’t have to worry about anything. We even supply a ‘master of ceremonies’ free of charge on the day. Ring Teresa on 01373 826576 or 07908 133942 for more details. Our function room also doubles up as a restaurant, and on Sundays we provide the best Sunday carvery. We use all fresh veg and there’s lots of choice, with five choices of meat every week. The price for adults is just £7.95 and £5.50 for children.

Paul the landlord entertains all afternoon finishing with a quiz, while Teresa the landlady is the chef, cooking their tasty Sunday carvery.
Teresa continued, “Also available are takeaway Sunday carvery. You can collect it yourself, or have it delivered to your door – how’s that for service?
“Throughout the year we also have race nights and fun days where we raise money for the children’s Christmas party that we host every year. The children have a wicked afternoon of fun, games, food, entertainment and of course Father Christmas with fantastic presents. We have been doing this every year and it is now well looked forward to. We are very much a family pub and like nothing more than to see our customers enjoying themselves.
“On Saturday 16th August we are holding a family fun day with a fun fair, stalls, rides, band, barbecue, karaoke, bouncy castle and much much more, 1.00pm until late.
“In September, we will be holding another very popular comedy evening (dates to be confirmed) and November 29th we have an “Amy Winehouse” tribute evening; tickets will be available from August. Ring or pop in for details.
“We try hard to make sure there is always something going on and something for everyone.
“We have a good range of quality beers lagers and wines and spirits available and we are also now selling Smirnoff ice vodka slush cocktails, which are very popular during these lovely warm days and evenings. We are already taking bookings for Christmas and Christmas day lunches, so book early to avoid disappointment and ring for more details.
