Providence Baptist Church in Dilton Marsh – which is linked with Ebenezer Baptist Church in West Lavington – has recently launched a new website.
They say, “The new site (www.pbc-ebc.org.uk) has carried over the clever home page graphic that artistically links the two chapels, though now minus the cement works chimney! The old site (www.providence-ebenezer.org.uk) is being left online, though just as a resource for the hundreds of sermons that can be found there.
“The website carries full details of all the many activities that go on at Providence and Ebenezer on a regular basis. There are now lots more photos of events like Bake through the Bible, craft evenings and Holiday Bible Club. Pastor Guy Davies’ sermons can be downloaded and his own “Exiled Preacher” blog can be accessed. The two churches support a number of other Christian organisations and missions and details of these can be found on the site as well.
“Providence – or Penknap as it used to be known – has been around since 1810 and unsurprisingly there are enquiries from time to time by those tracing their family history.
“A booklet covering the first 200 years can now be downloaded from the site and there are links to other websites carrying historical information.
“It is hoped that the new website will prove a useful and valuable resource for the churches and the communities they serve.”
