Pupils from Bitham Brook Primary School have once again shown their commitment to helping the community by collecting hundreds of food items for the town’s food bank.
The school’s student council, Pupil Voice, organised a harvest festival to raise donations for the Westbury Area Network’s food bank, following a successful collection last year.
Caroline and Cavan from the Westbury Area Network visited the children once again to talk about their initiative, how it helps those in the local community, and to thank the children for the hard work they had put in.
A spokesperson for the school said, “Children throughout the school brought in donations of food items which amounted to an extraordinary 378 items donated to the local food bank, breaking last year’s record!
“The children are all very proud to have helped those in need in the local community and hope to encourage others in the town and surrounding area to do the same.”
