LOCAL schoolchildren got involved with the ongoing Westbury Festival last week when they went to a lunchtime concert at All Saints Church.
On Thursday 29th September, staff and pupils from Westbury Junior School enjoyed a lunchtime music concert and met the harpist afterwards.
Assistant headteacher Victoria Withers said, “Children from years three and six walked to the church to see harpist Catherine White play several pieces on two different harps, and were then lucky enough to take part in a question and answer session with the musician.”
Teacher Yvonne Small said, “These lunchtime concerts are a wonderful opportunity for our children to watch professional musicians perform. They were captivated by the harps and were excited to meet Catherine White afterwards.”
