The Railway Inn’s Paul and Teresa Mead held a Big Breakfast event earlier this month and raised £300 for Cancer Research.
Around 30 people came along to enjoy a freshly- cooked breakfast which Teresa and Paul made. A donation of £3.50 was asked, with every penny going to the charity.
Teresa said, “It was a brilliant morning and I’m so pleased with the amount we raised. We paid for everything, so all the money went to the charity.
“I lost my dad Terry to cancer just before Christmas and my husband’s sister died from cancer as well, so the charity is close to our hearts.
“My dad used to run the pub in 1985, so having the event in the pub was really special as well.
“We would like to say a big, big thank you to everyone who came along to support the event and thank you for all the donations.
“We have a few things in the pipeline for this year to raise money for charity and I’d really like to fundraise for the William Budd ward in Bath as well, because they are fantastic.”
