This year’s Remembrance service in Westbury will be held in the Market Place, due to ongoing development works.
The service will take place in the Market Place on Saturday 9th November at 10.55am.
The parade will assemble and move along Maristow Street before entering the Market Square. The Trowbridge Youth Band will provide a live band and bugler, while the town’s cadets and other uniformed groups will form the heart of the parade.
“The service will follow the traditional formalities of the Royal British Legion,” said Ryan Child, Events Manager at Westbury Town Council. “All members of the public are invited to attend and pay their respects on a day that is always very well supported by the town.”
Parking is available in the High Street, a short walk from the Market Place, which will be closed to the public from 9am to 1pm.
Any local organisations or groups wishing to lay a wreath during the ceremony should contact Dave Calder on 07771071213 to arrange this in advance.
