WESTBURY Quilters are inviting local people to attend a coffee/tea morning as part of the Westbury Festival, to raise funds for Freewheelers Emergency Volunteer Service (EVS)/Bloodbikes on Saturday 1st October.
The Westbury Quilters will be selling items made by the group as well as tea, coffee and cake. This is an informal open morning where members of the Westbury Quilters will demonstrate different patchwork and quilting techniques.
Westbury Quilters’ members will be there on the day to explain how they work with the company, Tools With a Mission, to pass on any old sewing machines that are then refurbished and donated to people wanting to start their own sewing company in Uganda.
This is a free event, but you will need to pay for tea/coffee with proceeds donated to Freewheelers EVS/ Bloodbikes.
Westbury Quilters meet on the last Tuesday of every month, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at the Leigh Park Community Centre.
