THE Rotary Club of Westbury will be hosting a curry evening at The Laverton on Saturday 26th March at 7pm to raise money for the Lifeline Express Appeal, a hospital train in India that caters for those who are disabled and poor.
Tickets are £18 and available in advance only. There will be a varied menu with four courses, a range of meat and vegan dishes and a bar will be available. To book tickets, call Julian on 07967 154 657 or email sandoes@aol.com
Organisers say, “We’ve got a really broad, all-inclusive menu with something for everyone, so please do come on down and try something tasty and raise some money for a good cause that not many people know about at the same time!”
Since 1991, the Lifeline Express has travelled across India taking life-changing surgery to restore sight, hearing or mobility to the poorest people living in rural areas. New services have been added in recent years including cancer screening and dentistry, to treat those in constant pain from tooth decay. Its modern carriages house two operating theatres and recovery wards, clinics and testing facilities. More than two million people have benefited so far.
