Runners will make their way through Bratton when the village marks the return of the Bratton Hilly next weekend.
The 11k race, on Saturday 5th April, sees participants take on a picturesque and challenging route which leads to the Westbury White Horse.
Local people have been encouraged to come out and support the runners on their race, which raises money for the Bratton Jubilee Hall. The Bratton Hilly has taken place since 1996 and is now in its 27th year.
Organiser Tracey Hyde, who also works full time for Dorothy House, said, “This is my fourth year organising the Bratton Hilly, it has been quite a privilege to take it on.
“It’s a really good event for the village. People can head up to the White Horse and cheer on people as they go up the hill or at other points in the route. We also have a lot of locals who marshal for the event which is really nice.”
The Bratton Hilly starts at 11am at Bratton Jubilee Hall on Melbourne Street. This event is open to runners over the age of 16. Race entries are open until Tuesday 1st April or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day.
