The Selwood Steam & Vintage Rally, hosted annually on 27th – 29th May, and held in Southwick, is a family-friendly event with lots of fun activities. Hosted by the Selwood Steam & Vintage Vehicle Preservation Society, this community event is not-for-profit; donating all of the proceeds to CLIC Sargent to support young lives facing cancer.
Organisers say, “Tickets are great value at only £6 for adults, £4 for senior concessions and £2 for children (aged 5-16). You can enjoy everything the event has to offer including a children’s fairground and zoo, a range of vintage vehicle displays and lawnmower racing! There will also plenty of great local catering and refreshments available on site. Last year’s event raised £3,052.38 for CLIC Sargent.”
Local CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Caroline Marshall said, “I am completely blown away by the Selwood Steam & Vintage Rally. What a phenomenal achievement to host such a successful event and raise over £3,000 from the proceeds.
“There are so many families in Wiltshire receiving vital support from CLIC Sargent nurses and social care teams, to make sure young lives facing cancer get the best assistance throughout their treatment and beyond. This simply wouldn’t be possible without events like the Selwood Steam & Vintage Rally.”
