The Holy Trinity Eco Church will be holding its seventh sewing day this month, supporting the work of the Pachamama Project, a charity that makes reusable sanitary pads for refugees around the world who are dealing with period poverty.
The sewing day will take place at the Memorial Hall in Dilton Marsh on Saturday 14th September, from 10 am to 4 pm.
“We invite you along to join the wonderful crew who, over the past three years, have made over 2,000 pads that have helped more than 330 women,” said organiser Lynne Vercoe.
“There are roles for everyone, and the ability to sew is not necessary. However, if you do have a sewing machine and are able to bring it along, it would be a huge help.”
“We need help with cutting out, pinning, and assembly, and, as with most Holy Trinity events, there will be tea and coffee, cake, chat, friendship, and laughter.”
