AN AWARD winning family racing team of teenage brothers, Jay and Sean Able, are asking for help ahead of an important 2020 season of racing.
Jay, aged 14 and Sean, aged 13 are both achieving high results in their respective championships. However, they are in need of extra support to continue their winning ways against older competition, in the hope to compete nationally one day. They recently attended the NG Road Racing end of season awards on Saturday 23rd November at Hatherley Manor in Gloucester. The evening was hosted by British Superbike racer from Devizes, Tommy Bridewell of Team Moto Rapido.
Sean picked up the first award of the evening, winning the Formula 125 championship at the age of 12. He took 10 wins throughout the year, ending up with more than double the number of points to his second place rival.
Jay was awarded his second place trophy in Formula 400, despite his modern Yamaha R3 having a considerable power deficit compared to his rivals.
Jay was also awarded the young sports individual award at the Westbury Young People Awards earlier this year for his achievements across his racing career.
Father, Mark Able, who runs TeamABLE racing said, “It has been an amazing year, and has exceeded our expectations. Both boys’ progress has been exciting and astounding, considering their limited experience on the big circuits.
“However, we’re looking for as much support as we can get for the 2020 season, for Jay Able #30 and Sean Able #38 in both British Junior Supersport, and NG Road Racing Championships. They are both competing on Yamaha R3s at NG, and later in the year, both in Junior Supersport.
“Jay is still only 14, and Sean 13, making them amongst the youngest in their class. We truly believe that these boys can make it at national level, but need help with funding. Personal or business sponsorship will be greatly appreciated.
“We have to thank our sponsors:-RPM of Codford, Phoenix Motorcycles of Trowbridge, Energy Management of Bradford on Avon, Hire Standards of Westbury, Jazz Tyres of Standerwick, JJ Van Sales of Westbury, T.Deacon Fencing Ltd of Southwick, Smiths Engine Services of Frome and Rock Oil of Southwick.”
They have set up an online fundraiser on Facebook with a target of £1,000 to cover costs associated with motor racing. To donate visit: www.facebook.com/ donate/974917389541200/ 10162534635440430/ or search Team ABLE/RPM Racing.
