ENTRIES are now open for this year’s Dilton Dash, which will take place on Sunday 19th May.
This year the popular event, which is now in its fourth year, will be raising money for the Dilton Marsh Village Fete.
There will be a 10k run and a 3k run, which will start and finish at Dilton Marsh playing fields. The 10k race is open to runners over the age of 16 years on the day of the race. The 3k race is open to all, but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.
The route is multi-terrain, consisting of footpaths, tracks and a little bit of road.
There will be prizes in both distances. In the 10k prizes will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, 1st local Dilton Marsh male and female and 1st dog. In the 3k category, prizes will be awarded for 1st male and female, 1st boy and girl aged 11-16, first boy and girl aged 10 and under and 1st dog. There will be a medal for all finishers.
Registration is from 9-10am where you can collect your race number. The 10k race starts at 10.30am and the 3k race starts at 10.45am. There will be a short briefing before the race for your safety.
The 10k entrance fee is £14.50 affiliated, £16.50 unattached, aged 16+. 3k entrance fee is £6 affiliated, £8 unattached.
Places are limited to 300 places. Race entries are open until 6pm Friday 17th May or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day. Entries to be made online at: www.entrycentral .com/festival/1498
