A HANDFUL of special events will be put on at the town library next week in the lead up to National Libraries Day on Saturday 6th February.
The library on Edward Street will be hosting four one-off events throughout the week including talks, games and workshops.
Introduction to Ancestry, on Tuesday 2nd February from 2-4pm, will show you how to discover your family history and get the best out of online resource www.ancestry. co.uk.
White horses and other Wiltshire hill figures, on Wednesday 3rd February from 2-3pm, will be a talk from county local studies librarian, Mike Marshman, and will look into the history of historical landmarks in Wiltshire.
The second annual Harry Potter Book Night will be held on Thursday 4th February from 5.30-6.30pm. Expect an evening of magical games and activities for all young wizards, witches and muggles! Suitable for 7-11 year olds accompanied by a parent/carer.
Children’s storytime will be held on Saturday 6th February from 11.30am – 12pm. Children of all ages, accompanied by a parent/carer, are welcome to come along and listen to readings of popular children’s books.
