BRATTON Baptist Church will soon be hosting a Tea Time Songs of Praise with Bratton Silver Band as part of their October harvest festival celebrations.
There will be the opportunity to celebrate harvest by singing thanksgiving hymns, and to hear the story of how one of those hymns came to be written.
The minister of Bratton Baptist Church, Reverend Simon Gray said, “We have a Tea Time Songs of Praise service each month where we are able to sing and reflect on some of the great hymns of the Christian faith. We are very excited to have the Bratton Silver Band joining us for our harvest service again this year.”
Bratton Silver Band was founded over 150 years ago, and competed in the National Brass Band Championships just last month. They won the West of England qualifying competition earlier this year.
Bratton Baptist Church is supporting the work of Alabare, a charity which works with the homeless in Trowbridge. The songs of praise service is free, but there will be the opportunity to give to the work of Alabare.
The service will be held on Sunday 19th October at Bratton Baptist Church at 4pm, and is followed by refreshments. For more information call Simon on 01380 830746, or email simon@brattonbaptistchurch.org.uk
