Police have carried out speed checks in Bratton following concerns about speeding.
The Speed Enforcement Unit visited the village in late May and observed cars on Trowbridge Road, a 20mph zone.
During the operation, 10 vehicles were recorded exceeding the speed limit and were issued Notices of Intended Prosecution. The highest speed recorded was 29mph.
In an update online, Westbury Police said, “Depending on previous driving history and any prior convictions, those drivers may be offered a speed awareness course or face a £100 fine and three penalty points.
“Further checks will be carried out to ensure each vehicle is road legal, including having a valid MOT and insurance.
“In addition, captured footage will be reviewed for any other offences, such as mobile phone use or failure to wear a seatbelt.”
