THE final results are in for this year’s Hills Group CPRE Wiltshire Best Kept Village Competition with Bratton coming joint second in the ‘Large Village’ category.
The competition saw 40 villages throughout the county tested for tidiness, cleanliness, presentation and village community spirit.
In the first round, Bratton came 1st in the ‘Large Village’ category and Edington came 1st in the ‘Medium Village’ category.
In the final results, Bratton came joint 2nd with Great Bedwyn in the ‘Large Village’ category.
Chair of Bratton Parish Council, Amanda Callard said, “The parish council is delighted to have done so well in the Best Kept Village competition. We’re very proud of the village and our special thanks must go to Peter Brabner, and the other villagers, who worked so hard to get the village looking its best.”
