WESTBURY Youth FC is holding their annual football tournament this weekend, from Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd June, with over 160 teams confirmed from across the South.
Westbury Youth Football tournament is for football teams U7 to U15 boys and girls, held at their home ground of Redland Lane.
There are entries from Wiltshire, Bristol, BANES, Gloucester, Somerset, Swindon, Bath, Hampshire and Salisbury. It will feature a five-a-side non-competitive festival of football for U7s and U8s, a six-a-side tournament for U9s to U13s and all girls groups and a five-a-side tournament for U14s to U16s.
The tournament is sponsored by Barratt Homes as main sponsor, Western Skip Hire, Trowbridge Scaffolding, Sovereign Housing, Quality Vans Online, Total Air Systems, Gooding Accounts and Lucky8 Foods.
The club said, “By the time you take players, parents, coaches and spectators into account this is an audience of up to 3,000 people. Why don’t you come along and support your local youth team?
“We are also looking for helpers for the tournament to help in the refreshments tent, on the barbecue, help with parking and a few other jobs. We are only looking for people to give two hours of their time over the weekend and if you feel this is something you can give, please contact tournament@ west buryyouth.co.uk.”
